Insects Love Milkweed


This is the Swallowtail Butterfly and a Bumble Bee checking out this Orange Milkweed.


Honey Bees love the Milkweed too.

  1. That orange milkweed is what the Monarch Butterfly lays its eggs on, the larvae eat the whole plant and turn into butterflies. This is a weed that grows wild in Arkansas.

    Beautiful! I love the colour you’ve captured. It lit up my whole screen. Everyone loves milkweed. Even most people. I’ve seen more kinds of insects visiting than I can count. It is truly a keystone species if there ever was one.
