Your WORDS are your message to the WORLD.  Make sure they are inspiring.

James 1:19-20  “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:  For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

Do Good to All the People

Although this photo above depicts serenity, there is much torment and sorrow in this world that needs to be addressed.  It truly takes all of us to help others in need.

I want to aquaint you with a fellow blogger that I follow, Sandra Ross.  She has done research in the field of Alzheimer’s Disease, Demention, Age-related iIllnesses, and Caregiver Support.  She has written books, done articles on drugs, and posted profiles on many famous people with dementia. If you are dealing with Alzheimers/Dementia yourself or are a caregiver, it would help you tremendously to read the articles on her blog.  Here is a link:  goinggentleintothatgoodnight.com

If you are a person, like Sandra, who truly wants to help others perhaps the following quotes would inspire you to do all you can to help others.

“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”  John Wesley

“The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them, that’s the essence of inhumanity.”  George Bernard Shaw

“Cruelty and wrong are not the greatest forces in the world.  There is nothing eternal in them.  Only love is eternal.” Elisabeth Elliot

Turn The Other Cheek

When someone does you wrong – Do you want to get even?  Or . . . Do you turn the other cheek?  I use to have a hard time turning the other cheek, but as I age I am more tolerant of others.

Matthew 5:39 KJV  But, I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:43-44 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

When my brother’s female business partner used my brother’s dementia against him and stole all his assets . . . I had to learn to turn the other cheek.  This woman did not ask my brother or me to forgive her.  God ask me to forgive her.  I pray that she will repent, so God can forgive her and save her soul.

It actually helps the person who does not have hate in their mind or soul.  Forgiveness makes you a better person.  It makes you pleasing to God.

I will never recover any of my brother’s earthly goods, but that does not matter.  What matters is posessing love, compassion and forgiveness for your fellow man. It certainly would make this world a better place to live.

Luke 6:31  And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Love your enemies, it will give you peace of mind.  God is kind to everyone, including the unthankful and the evil. If God is kind to the evil, I guess I can be kind also.  Sometimes by being kind, you can make your enemy your friend.

Making Good Choices

If everyone in this world spent their life making good choices about what they did in their lifetime – Wow, I guess you could say that would make this world a Paradise.  There was only one person that ever made every choice perfect – Jesus.

At times we all fall short on making good choices about our life.  I often made the wrong choice in choosing friends as I was growing up.  Then again, I made the right choice in who I married.  My marriage has lasted for decades.  My youngest brother James is on marriage #5.  James selected several of the wrong women and made some unbeneficial choices.

If you are older, look back on your life and ask yourself this question – “If I had the last 20 or 30 years to do over, would my choices change?”  If you ended up in the wrong job, the wrong marriage, alone, divorced, homeless, in jail, with health problems, did your choices cause these outcomes to happen in your life!

Making things occur in your life, causing your life to become what it now is, were all caused by choices.  To succeed or improve your life simply comes down to making the right choices.  Everyone has the freedom to choose what they want to do with their life. You are guided by your own judgments, selections, or the choices you make.

I have seen people my entire life that blame the disappointments, heartaches, and outcomes of their actions on other people.  You could blame your wife saying she caused you to drink, or steal money, or beat her, or abuse the children.  Your wife did not make the choices, you did.  Or your spouse, child, friend, boss, did not make your choices for you, you made bad choices yourself.  I have a nephew who has been in  jail, who has chosen the wrong friends, who has yet to make one right choice in his entire life.  To me, my nephew’s unsavory life is strictly his fault, totally caused by his bad choices.

To succeed, be happy, experience joy and fulfillment in your life, make those good choices for yourself.  I look back on decision I made when my Mother was ill with dementia, when I became caregiver for my brother J.R. during his journey into dementia and I often beat myself up for some choices I made.  Yet I know in my heart I did the best I could.  We all regret so many choices we made in this journey called Life, but we can’t go back, we can’t change those choices.  So, giving extra time and thought to our decisions – could cause us to, “Make Good Choices,” in the years we have left on this earth.  I guess Paradise on this earth is not realistic, but MAKING GOOD CHOICES might get us somewhat closer to a more perfect world.

Our Planet Earth

When I took this picture, of the sun shining on this spider web the other day, I could not believe the beautiful colors.  Each time I see something this beautiful on planet earth I know in my heart and my soul that God created this fantastic world.  I cannot understand those who fail to see the touch of God’s hand in every aspect of nature.

Childlike Innocence

There is nothing that can match the innocence of a child.

When you venture onto the internet to find something clean, pure, or wholesome – what happens?  Thrown in the decent, clean, innocent material you are looking for is Filth. Even pictures of children participating in nasty behavior that some adult has taught them.

If we as adults do not start now and return to the innocence of our youth – what kind of  world are we creating for our children?  Lets create that better world in which future generations can thrive and live moral, satisfying lives.

Imagine the Possibilities

images (26)Can you imagine the possibilities of a better world.  There are so many negative people on this earth.  I sat here trying to think of one person I knew who was kind, generous, totally happy, and who amazed me with their positive attitude.  I thought of one lady, she is a school teacher.  Every time I encounter this precious lady she greets me with warmth and a happy smile on her face.  She greets everyone with her big smile, she is a very kind, compassionate person.  A perfect person to be a teacher, a friend, an inspiration,

When I let negative thoughts enter my mind I know that I can be that better person and discard that negativity.  If I wish to create a better person within myself I have to work toward that goal.  There is a Chinese Proverb:  “Deal with the faults of others as gently as your own.”

I found a quote by an unknown author that made me stop and think: “One day your life will flash before your eyes.  Make sure it is worth watching.”  Imagine the possibilities of your life being a story worth watching.  A story that truly inspires others.

If I improve my outlook on life and my actions I can make this world a better place in which to live. I can improve my life and the lives of those around me.  It takes one step at a time and loads of patience to change.  I can work on that positive attitude, acquire a kinder demeanor, and create untold possibilities for a happier life.

Mother Teresa said: “Kind words are short and easy to speak, but their echoes are totally endless.”  Kind words travel far and last for a very long time.  Just think how happy you feel when kind words are spoken to you by others.

We will never eradicate all of the angry, mean, hateful, unkind people from this earth, but changing ourselves can add another good person to this world.  If we change then the possibility of changing others can be achieved.  Do not expect others to listen to you and change their lives if there is negativity in your life.

There are two things others will truly see that stand out in your life.  The things you do to other people and the things you do for other people.  We all need to be more kind, more generous, more caring and extremely compassionate people. God expects us to be good, moral people.  I often sit and dream about how wonderful it would be on this earth if the world was filled with more perfect and compassionate human beings.

The possibility of each of us changing the life of one other person for the better, is achievable.  Think of the snowball effect that can happen by passing your compassion from one person to another and watching it rub off on others..  Envision the possibilities of kinder people and a better world in which to live.  One line in John Lennon’s  song “Imagine” says, “Imagine all the people living life in peace.” ♥♥♥♥♥♥
