Your WORDS are your message to the WORLD.  Make sure they are inspiring.

James 1:19-20  “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:  For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

Precious Resources

“If I were to name 3 most precious resources of life, I would say books, friends, and nature; and the greatest of these, at least the most constant and always at hand is Mother Nature and God.”   John Burrough

This tiny little purple/blue weed I photographer in my yard, shows the detail God gave to each small thing in nature that he created.

Sing Unto The Lord

Psalm 104:33-34 KJV

” I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:  I will sing praise to my God while I have being.  My meditation of Him shall be sweet:  I will be glad in the Lord.”

It is hard to look at all the beautiful things in nature and not see the handy work of God.  I start each day thanking God for his blessings and for his son Jesus, who died for all of us. At church within the last 2 weeks we have lost 2 good elderly gentlemen.  It makes a person stop and think how short life is, how you can lose your loved ones in an instant. That thought should touch your heart and make you think of God and what life is truly about.  I hope each of you have a blessed day.

Swiftly Flow The Days

I have watched the movie, “Fiddler On The Roof,” many times.  I think of the song in that movie, “Sunrise, sunset.”   The chorus begins , Sunrise, Sunset, swiftly flow the days. That is so true, life is swift as the days drift by so fast.

This is a sunrise I captured yesterday morning.  Looks as if the airplane is going straight up into outer space.  Arkansas has some very pretty sunrises and sunsets when a few clouds and lots of humidity are in the atmosphere.

This sunset I took a couple of weeks ago.  I could not believe the colors and just how beautiful this sunset appeared.  Each time I see beauty like this God enters my mind. He has made such a beautiful world for us to enjoy.

Our Planet Earth

When I took this picture, of the sun shining on this spider web the other day, I could not believe the beautiful colors.  Each time I see something this beautiful on planet earth I know in my heart and my soul that God created this fantastic world.  I cannot understand those who fail to see the touch of God’s hand in every aspect of nature.

Red Tip Hedges and Red Bud Trees

Every year in Spring the large Red Tip hedge out in the front yard puts on its beautiful red leaves, which is the new growth for the year.  They make a wonderful hedge, because their leaves stay green all year.  It took ten years for this hedge to fill in and grow 12 feet tall. We use this hedge for privacy between us and the busy highway that runs in front of our property.

This hedge is getting ready to put on its big white bloom heads, made up of  numerous small flowers.  Some of the leaves are very red and some orange in color.  These are the buds that form before they burst into full bloom.

This is the time of the year when the wild Red Bud trees bloom in the woods, many people plant these beautiful trees in their yards too.

The next tree to bloom in the woods and people’s yards will be the Dogwood, which should be beginning to bloom within the week.   Love, this time of the year.

Clouds Are Beautiful

I love clouds, cannot resist taking photos of them.  I think God put these beautiful fluffy white things in the sky just for our enjoyment.  At least I feel he did it for me.

Have you ever heard the saying, “There is a black cloud hanging over; my head; my life; my house?”  I was out in the yard and I saw this nice, happy, little white cloud hanging over my house.  I thought, wow, this is going to be a good day. (Is this an April Fool joke?)

Storms were predicated yesterday, there was golf ball size hail falling in several areas of the state.  The large thunder-heads, as they call them here, where beginning to build up. A sure sign that the rain, lighting, thunder, hail, tornadoes, and wind are on their way.  All turned out fine in our area with only wind, rain, and thunder.  This large thunder-head popped up behind the house in the back yard.  It looked as if someone had dropped an atomic bomb as this monster cloud formation rose into the air.  It was absolutely beautiful.

I guess this 50 foot oak tree was going to have a good day too, because this white cloud settled right in the top of its branches

Well, may all of you have a happy day too.  If you wish you can borrow that pretty white cloud that is hanging over my house, but I want it back.  Ha Ha

AH – Spring

I was sitting on the porch the other day and I knew it was Spring when I saw this blackbird wooing one of the little females of his species.  She was not paying any attention to his antics and was watching me take pictures.  She would move away from him on the wire and he would follow.  I felt lucky to catch this shot of him spreading his wings out to impress the little female.

I told my husband he had to mow the grass soon, not because the grass is growing.  All the weeds are blooming and letting them go to seed just creates more weeds.  I have to admit some of the weeds have some beautiful blooms and my husband’s hive of bees like to collect pollen from them.

What my husband really wants to do is make this half acre garden dry out enough to take his tractor and till all the weeds under.  He usually wants to start gardening a month before it is time to begin.  Must be the old farmer coming out in him.

So Spring has begun to bloom in our hearts and we are all glad that winter is leaving once again.  Love to watch the birds making their nests and the squirrels running around the tree trunks and enjoying the bright sunshine.  Happy Spring America.

Nature’s Beauty

I have not written a blog in a few days because I have been outside snapping pictures with my new camera, trying to figure out how it works.

I was looking out the kitchen window at daybreak yesterday and saw this spider web on a weed way down at the end of the garden.  This spider web was covered with morning dew and was like a little beacon shining.  I grabbed my camera, out the door I went, I stood under the apple tree, ran my zoom lens way out into space and snapped this beautiful spider web.

After the sun arose, the dew disappeared and you could not tell the spider web was there.

All these afternoon people who arise late have no idea of the beauty they miss each morning.  I love every sunrise and I see them every day.  I would not miss God’s glory that shines through each morning.  Makes me feel like a little kid in a candy store!
