Colors of the Sky

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”  Rabindranath Tagore

Reflections of the Sun

I was looking out my kitchen window to the East in the evening.  I could not believe the reflections of the sun as it set in the West.  Half of the trees and plants were their normal color, but the other half looked as if they were arrayed in Fall foliage.  The yellow color on this cane (which is green) is simply reflections of the sun, as are the orange trees on the right side of this photo.

The tops of the trees in this following photo were bathed in sunlight, the bottoms were their natural color.  All these photos are just as my camera captured them.

Thought I would add a couple of photos of the sunset – a close up and one far away.

Swiftly Flow The Days

I have watched the movie, “Fiddler On The Roof,” many times.  I think of the song in that movie, “Sunrise, sunset.”   The chorus begins , Sunrise, Sunset, swiftly flow the days. That is so true, life is swift as the days drift by so fast.

This is a sunrise I captured yesterday morning.  Looks as if the airplane is going straight up into outer space.  Arkansas has some very pretty sunrises and sunsets when a few clouds and lots of humidity are in the atmosphere.

This sunset I took a couple of weeks ago.  I could not believe the colors and just how beautiful this sunset appeared.  Each time I see beauty like this God enters my mind. He has made such a beautiful world for us to enjoy.

Glorious Sunrise

“Wake! For the Sun, who scatter’d into flight, the Stars before him from the Field of Night. Drives Night along with them from Heav’n and strikes, the Sultan’s Turret with a Shaft of Light.”  Omar Khayyam

“Whether I retire to bed early or late, I rise with the sun.”  Thomas Jefferson.  (For 50 years Jefferson rose every morning as the sky came alive with its beautiful colors and the sun showed its brightness.)
